Troubleshooting

So after putting off doing the TSHOOT (642-832) exam, my final one to gain CCNP, I finally booked and did it. In the end I found it relatively straight forward gaining a massive 100% (1000/1000).

It was actually quite an enjoyable exam (if that is possible), consisting of a number of ‘trouble tickets’. The tickets all consist of the same topology, which you can view on the Cisco learning network site. This does not break any NDA and I would highly recommend reviewing it and think of possible connectivity scenarios.  You can also have a go on a couple of sample trouble tickets on the same site. At the time of doing the exam you could move between the tickets before submitting them so I would recommend that you have a good look at all the configurations before finally submitting the configuration, it might help you confirm or deny to theory.

In addition, you also get some traditional multi-choice questions, not many mind but they still exist.
